Horticultural Therapy Support Group for Older Adult Caregivers: Examining Intervention Effectiveness Using Psychometrically Validated Measures

Participants showed a significant improvement in Burden of Kidney Disease scores, rising from 47.91 to 58.33 (p = .016), and Physical Functioning scores, increasing from 44.52 to 51.42 (p = .036) after just eight weeks of programming. These benefits were maintained through the end of the program, but began to decline by the two-month follow-up, suggesting that ongoing access to horticultural therapy may be needed to sustain gains.
